Traversal’s technical meaning is to travel across, to explore—the act of going from one place to another. For OUMA’s founder, Ou Ma, it transcends this definition. It's a sliver of time spent with her grandfather, Huanzhou. It encapsulates her memories of his artistry and painting. It's a vision of her past and a reminder of all she’s accomplished. Ou’s latest collection, Traversal, stands as a testament to these memories and a heartfelt homage to Huanzhou.
Rooted in Asian culture yet imbued with a modern edge, Ou utilizes structured silhouettes and draping fabrics to echo her history and passion. Thick Mikado, silk crepes, and frothy textures come together in a way that feels both luxurious and feminine.
